Choose life

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”Deuteronomy 30:19 · KJV

Read in your Bible: Deuteronomy 29–31.

Moses calls Israel to renew its covenant response and speaks of return after failure. Life is bound to loving the Lord, hearing His voice and holding fast to Him. Joshua is then commissioned as leadership passes to another generation.

Choosing life is more than a burst of determination. The passage joins response with God's work in the heart, pointing beyond mere external conformity. For Christians, dependence on Christ's grace sustains obedience; personal resolve cannot replace the Saviour.

Choose one concrete response to a truth you already understand. Seek God's help and another person's support where change is difficult. Do not turn a setback into proof that returning to God is impossible.
