Run with your eyes on Jesus
Read in your Bible: Hebrews 11–13.
The examples of faith include people delivered through danger and others who suffered without receiving a present escape. The appeal then directs runners toward Jesus and calls for perseverance, peace and practical hospitality. Faith is measured by its object rather than an identical earthly outcome.
The same chapter honours both rescue and costly endurance, ruling out a formula that faith always produces visible success. The discipline imagery must not justify human abuse. Looking to Jesus means receiving His grace and learning a steadfast response within a community of mutual care.
Continue one worthwhile duty that has become tiring, while seeking proper rest and support. Offer hospitality or remember someone imprisoned or mistreated through an appropriate channel. Let attention to Christ keep perseverance from becoming isolated self-punishment.

Let us pray
Jesus, source and goal of faith, strengthen steady service without pride or self-neglect. Help me receive support, seek peace and remember people whose suffering has made them easy to overlook. Amen.
