Enough to begin sharing

“But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.”Matthew 14:16 · KJV

Read in your Bible: Matthew 13–14.

Jesus teaches in parables about the kingdom, then faces the death of John and a hungry crowd. The disciples see a need beyond their resources, but Jesus involves them in distributing food. The chapter later records fear on the water and His continuing care.

Limited resources do not require indifference, though this miracle is not a promise that every project will multiply what it starts with. Jesus' response keeps the hungry people central. The parables also invite attentive hearing rather than the assumption that familiarity equals understanding.

Notice one need you have dismissed because you cannot solve all of it. Offer a responsible contribution or connect the person with appropriate help. Let prayer support practical participation without exaggerating what your small beginning can accomplish.

Let us pray

Providing Saviour, show me the part I can responsibly offer. Keep limited resources from becoming an excuse for indifference, and guide practical help that honours the real needs of people before me. Amen.
