A faithful return in ordinary things
Read in your Bible: Malachi 1–4.
Malachi confronts careless worship, betrayal in relationships and the withholding of what is due to God. His call to return reaches offerings and the treatment of vulnerable people. The closing promise looks toward preparation for the Lord's coming.
Faithful stewardship matters, but the passage must not become a commercial promise that a donation guarantees wealth. God's call reaches a whole life of integrity, including justice and relationship commitments. Those in financial distress need wise, compassionate guidance rather than pressure that exploits fear.
Review your stewardship honestly and responsibly, including commitments, care for dependants and generous service. Address a neglected duty without imagining that money can cancel a wrong done to another person. Let giving express gratitude and trust rather than a bargain for gain.

Let us pray
Faithful God, guide my stewardship and the relationships money cannot repair by itself. Help me give responsibly, honour commitments and return to You in a whole life shaped by grace and integrity. Amen.
